Róbert Ruck (born December 10, 1977 ) is a Hungarian chess master .

Life

Ruck received the grandmaster title in 2000 . Even as a teenager he had achieved top placements in important tournaments, such as the II-III. Place at the U16 Junior European Championship in Rimavská Sobota 1992, the II-III. Place at the U18 Junior World Championship in Szeged 1994 and the II-IV. Place at the U18 Junior World Championship in Chania 1994. In 2002 Ruck won the Hungarian chess championship.

Jerk won or occupied top places in several tournaments: 1st place in Zagreb (1997), I-II. Place in Budapest (2000), I-II. 1st place in Kőszeg (2000), 1st place in Kladovo (1997), I-IV. Place in Lippstadt (2003).

In February 2015 he was ranked 11th in Hungary's Elo ranking.

National team

With the Hungarian national team, Ruck took part in the chess Olympiads in 2000 , 2002 , 2004 and 2006 and achieved second place as the greatest success in 2002 with the team. He also participated in the team's World Cup 2001 and the European Team Championships in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009 in part.

In Hungary, Ruck played for Szombathelyi MÁV Haladás VSE until 2005 , in the 2005/06 season for Láng Vasas Sportkör , in the 2006/07 season for Edelényi Városi Sportegyesület , from 2007 to 2010 for the Csuti Antal SK Zalaegerszeg , with whom he was the 2008 champion has been. In the Austrian Bundesliga he played from 2004 to 2007 for Styria Graz, with whom he became champion in 2006 , in the 2007/08 season for ASVÖ Wulkaprodersdorf , in the 2008/09 season for SV Pamhagen , with whom he played at the European Club Cup in 2009 participated, in the 2009/10 season again for Styria Graz, in the 2011/12 season for the champions SK Advisory Invest Baden and in the 2019/20 season for the Fürstenfeld / Hartberg syndicate . In the Belgian Interclubs he played from 2003 to 2007 and again in the 2013/14 season for KSK 47 Eynatten , with whom he became champions in 2004 , 2005 , 2006 and 2014 and took part in the European Club Cup in 2006. In the 2017/18 season he became Belgian team champion with Schachfreunde Wirtzfeld . In the Bosnian Premijer Liga Ruck played from 2004 to 2007 for ŠK Željezničar Sarajevo , with whom he was champion in 2007 and twice took part in the European Club Cup.
