Tamás Fodor (chess player)

Tamás Fodor (born June 2, 1991 in Kalocsa ) is a Hungarian chess player.

He received the chess GM title from FIDE in January 2013. He obtained the required standards at the 13th Individual European Championships in 2012 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria (this standard counted twice) and at the Caissa GM tournament in 2012 in Kecskemét in Hungary.

In 2015 he won the Open tournament at the 3rd 4NCL Congress ahead of Peter Wells . His club in Hungary is ASE Paks , in the British Four Nations Chess League he played for Hackney in the 2014/15 season and since then for the Cheddleton and Leek Chess Club , with which he also took part in the European Club Cup in 2016 .

In 2001 he was already youth world champion in the U10 age group.
