Péter Prohászka (born January 13, 1992 in Vác ) is a Hungarian chess master .

Life

He learned the game of chess from his father. His trainers were the international masters Oszkár Herczeg and János Dudás as well as the FIDE master Ottó Magyar. Currently (as of 2008) the grandmaster Péter Lukács is his trainer. Prohászka was U14 European Youth Champion in Herceg Novi in 2006 . In the NB I. Szabó László csoport , the highest Hungarian league, he played from 2004 to 2007 for PMSE Antenna Hung (renamed Postás MATÁV Sport Egyesület in 2005 ), in the 2007/08 season at Csuti-Hydrocomp Zalaegerszeg SK , with whom he won the Hungarian team championship title, then at Aquaprofit NTSK , with which he won the title in the 2008/09 , 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons. From 2011 to 2013 he played for Szombathelyi MÁV Haladás VSE , from the 2013/14 season to the 2015/16 season he played again for Aquaprofit NTSK and was Hungarian team champion in the 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons . In the 2016/17 season Prohászka played for DVTK Sport Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság . In the German 1. Bundesliga , he played in the 2007/08 season for SK Zehlendorf and in the 2010/11 season for ESV nickel Aue . In Austria he played in the 2010/11 season for ASVÖ Wulkaprodersdorf , from the 2011/12 season to the 2015/16 season for SV ASVÖ St. Veit an der Glan and in the 2016/17 season for mpimmo Vienna - SK Ottakring .

Prohászka won and fulfilled GM standards at the First Saturday tournaments in October 2006, February 2008 and November 2009 and was then awarded the title of chess grandmaster in January 2010 .

In February 2015 it was ranked 8th in the Hungarian Elo ranking.
