history

The first mention of Scharpenhoof comes from 1309 as In Curia dicta scarpenhoue . The estate remained in the possession of von Jagow until they were expropriated in 1945. In 1953 the first type III agricultural production cooperative was established in Scharpenhufe, the LPG "Morgensonne".

After the German reunification, the Scharpenhufe manor was bought back in 1993 by the previous owners, the von Jagow family from the Altmark . It has since been continued as an approximately 600 hectare farm.

Two kilometers east-northeast of Scharpenhufe stood still at the beginning of the 20th century fisherman's house Ganseburg even colony geese Burg called, was in the vicinity of which the geese from Putlitz built Ganseburg .

At the beginning of the 20th century there was a brick factory one kilometer north of Scharpenhufe .
