The Scottish League Two was played for the first time in 2013/14 as the fourth highest division of football in Scotland . The league, founded in 2013, replaced the Third Division and is one of the four leagues in the Scottish Football League after the Premiership , Championship and League One . Which is followed League Two from the local leagues in Scotland including among others, the Highland Football League . The first season was managed by the Scottish Football Association and began on August 10, 2013. The season ended with the 36th matchday on May 3, 2014.

In the 2013/14 season, ten clubs competed against each other in a total of 36 matchdays. Each team played twice at home and twice against every other team. As relegated from last year's Second Division , the Albion Rovers came into League Two . Since the Scottish professional league system ends in League Two, there is no relegation.
