The 2017 Shenzhen Open was a women's tennis tournament in Shenzhen . The hard court tournament in the International category was part of the WTA Tour 2017 and took place from January 1st to 7th, parallel to the WTA tournaments in Auckland and Brisbane .

The defending champions were Agnieszka Radwańska in singles and the pairing Vania King / Monica Niculescu in doubles.
