Jistebník (German Stiebnig ) is a municipality in Moravskoslezský kraj in the east of the Czech Republic .
history
Stiebnig was founded as a locality between 1280 and 1290 and was populated by predominantly German residents; around 1805 it had around 1000, predominantly German-speaking, Roman Catholic residents in around 150 houses. In 1910 the colloquial language of around 95% of the residents was German. Stiebnig belonged to the Wagstadt district in the period before the Second World War .
After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Empire and belonged to the Wagstadt district until 1945 .
As in the entire region, the German population was expelled in 1946 .
Since 1945 Jistebník belongs to the Okres Nový Jičín .
Sports
The futsal club CC Jistebník became Czech champions in 2002 and 2006.
