The 2001 Superbike World Championship season was the 14th in the history of the FIM - Superbike World Championship . 25 races were held at 13 events.

Distribution of points

The world champion will be the driver or manufacturer who has accumulated the most points in the world championship by the end of the season. When distributing points, the placements are taken into account in the overall result of the respective race. The top fifteen drivers in each race receive points according to the following scheme:

useful information

  • The second run in Phillip Island was not held due to heavy rain.
  • At Brands Hatch, the first run was canceled after ten laps, restarted later and both parts counted together.
