The 2015 Superbike World Championship season was the 28th in the history of the FIM - Superbike World Championship . 26 races were held at 13 events.
Distribution of points
The world champion will be the driver or manufacturer who has accumulated the most points in the world championship by the end of the season. When distributing points, the placements are taken into account in the overall result of the respective race. The top fifteen drivers in each race receive points according to the following scheme:

- The Chang International Circuit in Thailand was added to the 2015 season .
Teams
- With third place in the first race in Misano, Chaz Davies achieved the 800th podium for Ducati in the Superbike World Championship.
- Kawasaki became the first Superbike Constructors' World Champion with Jonathan Rea finishing fourth in round two at Jerez

- Since Davide Giugliano was injured during a test in Australia, three-time Superbike World Champion Troy Bayliss made his comeback at the season opener.
- During the second run at Laguna Seca , Giugliano fell and suffered a fractured vertebra. He won't be able to contest the rest of the season.
- After Bayliss had another outing in Thailand, the IDM Superbike Champion of the 2014 season replaced Javier Forés Giugliano at three events in Aragón , Assen and Losail .
- The two-time Superbike World Champion Max Biaggi made his comeback in Italy on the Misano World Circuit . He started for the Aprilia Racing Team.
- Biaggi also had a job in Malaysia at the Sepang International Circuit . There he reached a 3rd place in the first run. This makes him the oldest rider to have made it to the podium in the Superbike World Championship.
- By finishing fourth at the first race in Jerez, Jonathan Rea became Superbike World Champion for the first time .
- The 2015 season IDM Superbike champion Markus Reiterberger has another outing in the penultimate race in France after his first wildcard at the Misano World Circuit .
