Toro is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 1328 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Campobasso in Molise . The municipality is located about 8.5 kilometers east of Campobasso .

history

The settlement was established around the year 1000 and is first mentioned in a document in 1092. In 1805 the village was almost completely destroyed by an earthquake.
