Ulążki ( German Ulonsk , 1938 to 1945 Kleinrehbruch ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Szczytno (rural municipality Ortelsburg ) in the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ).

Geographical location

Ulążki is located 800 meters east of the Great Schobensee (Polish Jezioro Sasek Wielki ) in the southern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , seven kilometers northwest of the district town of Szczytno ( German Ortelsburg ).

history

Before 1945, Ulonsk was a forestry that was assigned to the Corpellen State Forest and a place to live in the manor district of the same name , later in the community Ulonskofen (1938 to 1945 Schobendorf , Polish Piece ) in the East Prussian district of Ortelsburg . In 1905 the Ulonsk forester's house had four residents. For political and ideological reasons to defend against seemingly foreign place names, Ulonsk was renamed "Kleinrehbruch" on June 3rd - officially confirmed on July 16th - 1938. In 1945 the city came in consequence of the war with the entire southern East Prussia to Poland and received the Polish form of the name "Ulążki". Today the small forest settlement (Polish: Osada leśna ) is a village within the rural municipality of Szczytno (Ortelsburg) in the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then it belongs to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Ulonsk resp. Kleinrehbruch was parish up to 1945 in the Evangelical Church of Groß Schöndamerau in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of Ortelsburg in the Diocese of Warmia . Today Ulążki belongs to the Evangelical Church of Szczytno in the Masurian Diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland and to the Catholic Church Trelkowo (Groß Schöndamerau) in the current Archdiocese of Warmia .

Ulążki is on a side street that connects Trelkówko (Klein Schöndamerau) on Landesstraße 57 (formerly German Reichsstraße 128 ) with Piece (Ulonskofen , 1938 to 1945 Schobendorf) . There is no connection to rail traffic .
