Nowe Dłutówko ( German  Dlotowken ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Szczytno (Ortelsburg) in the Powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ).

Geographical location

Nowe Dłutówko is located in the southern center of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship , eleven kilometers southeast of the district town of Szczytno ( Ortelsburg in German  ).

history

Before 1785 Dlodowka , before 1820 Dlotowko , before 1898 Dlot (t) owken , until August 10, 1903 Alt Dlotowken and then again Dlottowken , was before 1945 a forest place and residential area in the municipality of Klein Schiemanen ( Szymanki in Polish ), later in the community of Groß Schiemanen ( Polish: Szymany ) in the East Prussian district of Ortelsburg . In 1905 the place had 13 inhabitants in two homes.

Since 1945 the place called with the Polish name "Nowe Dłutówko" has been a small Osada leśna ( German  forest settlement ) and a place in the network of the rural community Szczytno (Ortelsburg) in the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmia Voivodeship -Masures associated.

Until 1945 Dlotowken was parish in the Protestant church Groß Schiemanen (Polish Szymany ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Roman Catholic parish Ortelsburg in the then diocese of Warmia . Today Nowe Dłutówko belongs on the Catholic side to the Szymany Church in what is now the Archdiocese of Warmia , and on the Protestant side to the Szczytno Parish in the Masurian Diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Nowe Dłutówko is located east of the Polish state road 57 (former German Reichsstraße 128 ) and can be reached directly from Szymany (Groß Schiemanen) . From the east there is a connecting road from Małdaniec (Maldanietz , 1938 to 1945 Maldanen) to the town. The nearest train station is Szymany on the Ostrołęka – Szczytno railway line , which is currently only used from Chorzele .
