Dąbrowa Nadjezierna ( German  Hinterdamerau ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Szczytno (rural municipality Ortelsburg ) in the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ).

Geographical location

Dąbrowa Nadjezierna is 1 kilometer east of Lake Grammer ( Jezioro Gromskie in Polish ) on the west bank of the Great Schobensee ( Jezioro Sasek Wielki ) in the southern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . It is nine kilometers to the south-east to the district town of Szczytno ( Ortelsburg in German ).  

history

Before 1945, the former was Hinterdamerau one to the State Forestry Corp Ellen (1928-1945 Korpellen related) forester and as such a dwelling place in the municipality grams ( Polish Grom ). It belonged to the Ortelsburg district in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

As a result of the war, the small town came to Poland in 1945 along with all of southern East Prussia and received the Polish form of the name “Dąbrowa Nadjezierna”. Today the hamlet (in Polish Osada ) is a place within the rural community Szczytno (Ortelsburg) in the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Until 1945 Hinterdamerau was parish in the Protestant Church of Ortelsburg in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of Passenheim (Polish: Pasym ) in what was then the Diocese of Warmia . Today Dąbrowa Nadjezierna belongs to the Catholic parish church in Grom (Grammen) in what is now the Archdiocese of Warmia , and also to the Pasym Evangelical Church in the Masurian Diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Dąbrowa Nadjezierna can be reached via a side road that branches off from Landesstraße 53 (former German Reichsstraße 134 ) at Jęcznik (Davidshof) and leads to Łysa Góra (Anhaltsberg) . There is no connection to rail traffic .
