The Magyar Labdarúgó Szövetség (MLSZ) is the Hungarian football association . It is based in Budapest .

The MLSZ is responsible for the organization of football in Hungary and is therefore responsible, among other things, for the Hungarian national football team . He is also the host of the highest leagues Nemzeti Bajnokság and Nemzeti Bajnokság II as well as the Ligakupa and the Magyar Kupa .

The association was founded in 1901 and became a member of FIFA in 1907 . In 1954 the association became a founding member of UEFA .

Placement in the UEFA five-year ranking ( previous year's ranking in brackets ). The abbreviations CL and EL after the country coefficients indicate the number of representatives in the 2019/20 season of the Champions League and the Europa League .
