Waltham is a town in Hancock County in the state of Maine in the United States . In 2010 there were 353 inhabitants in 150 households on an area of 85.18 km².

Waltham is centrally located in Hancock County. The Graham Lake limits the Town in the West, is located in the east of Webb Pond and centrally of Little Webb Pond . The town's surface is slightly hilly, with no significant elevations.

history
Settlement of the area began in 1804 when the first settlers reached the area across the Union River, which flows through Graham Lake.
Waltham was organized as a Town on January 29, 1933. Previously, the area was named 14 MD BPP and Township No. 14 Middle Division, Bingham's Penobscot Purchase (T14 MD BPP) or Mariaville South .
Land was given to Mariaville in 1825 and 1829. In 1872, territories were given to Eastbrook.
