Geographical location
Eastbrook is centrally located in Hancock County. In the area of the town there are several lakes in the southwest. They include the Molasses Pond , Scammon Pond , Abrams Pond, and Webb Pond . The surface is slightly hilly, the highest point is the 178 m high Bull Hill .

history
The Town of Eastbrook organized itself from Township No. 15 Middle Division, Bingham's Penobscot Purchase (T15 MD BPP). Settlement of the area started in 1800. One of the first settlers was Joseph Parsons, who also built the first mill and the first house. His son was the first child born in the town. The name Eastbrook is derived from the Eastbrook branch of Union River that flows through the area.
Eastbrook got land from neighboring Waltham in 1872.

In Eastbrook, the Eastbrook Baptist Church and Eastbrook Town House was placed under a preservation order and in 1978 with registration no. 78000163 inscribed on the National Register of Historic Places .
