What About Now is the twelfth studio album by the American rock band Bon Jovi . It was released on March 8, 2013 in various countries, including Australia and Germany . It was released in the US on March 12th.

The album was produced by John Shanks . In addition to Shanks and Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora , Billy Falcon and Desmond Child were also involved in the songwriting. The album was completed before Richie Sambora's solo album Aftermath of the Lowdown . The song material includes various elements that are similar to both the band's older works and newer ones. Sambora described it as a "musical evolution". Because We Can was released as the first single . The album reached number 2 in the German and British charts and number 1 in the USA.
