Yuri Lowenthal (born March 5, 1971 in Alliance , Ohio ) is an American author , actor and voice actor who is best known for his speaking roles in cartoons , series, animes and video games . He grew up in Nashville , Tennessee , later he lived in Virginia , West Africa , Japan and New York , currently he lives in Los Angeles . Lowenthal has been married to his colleague voice actor Tara Platt since 2001 . Together with his wife, he founded the film production company Monkey Kingdom Productions in 2004 . He also had appearances in television series such as Close to Home , Criminal Minds , Gilmore Girls and Alias ​​- Die Agentin .

In addition to English , Yuri Lowenthal is also fluent in Japanese , French and German .
