Zeitling is a village with 274 and 294 inhabitants (2001 and 2011 census) in the cadastral community of Weinzierl in Perg in the Lower Mühlviertel in Upper Austria .

geography

The village is located at 251  m above sea level. A. east of the village of Weinzierl and west of Perger city center. To the north of Zeitling is the village of Lanzenberg and south of it is the border with the market town of Naarn in Machlande . Due to the location of the through flowing Zaubertal in the plane of the Mach Lands reaching time Linger Bach , the south piped from time Ling and Naarn is passed. Zeitling is partly in the Upper Austrian spatial units of Machland and southern Mühlviertler outskirts .

The village was originally characterized by agriculture, but has been heavily settled since the beginning of the 20th century, with mainly commercial operations being built on the plain and residential houses being built on the south-facing slopes. Both the Donauuferbahn and the B 3c section of the Donau Straße cross the village.

history

The name Zeitling refers to a former Zeidler ( beekeeper ). Due to its type of settlement and geographical location, the village is likely to have originated in the Middle Ages . It was first mentioned in 1293 as Ceidlorn . There was also a seat in the village, since around 1300 a feudal man from the chaplain called himself Leutwin von Zeidlarn . In 1360 a Wulfing von Zeidlarn was mentioned. In addition to the band members, the Kuenringers and later the Lords of Maissau were also wealthy in Zeitling. In the 15th century, the Lords of Liechtenstein lent some goods in Zeitling to the Burgrave of Windegg , as well as to the Marshal von Reichenau and the Habichler von Riegelhof in Zell . In the 18th and 19th centuries the manors of Schwertberg , Steyregg , Weinberg and Riedegg were wealthy in Zeitling .
