The A2005 was a Class I road designated in Canterbury in 1922 as a thoroughfare through the city center. It ran in a straight line with the A28, which ran parallel to it around the center to the south and east, as through traffic took this route. It was divided into two by the A2. Today the A2005 is unclassified and partly pedestrian zone.
