The A2216 is a Class I road established in 1923 in the London metropolitan area under the name Champion Park, Dog Kennel Hill, Lordship Lane and Kirkdale. It runs from the A205 at Denmark Hill Station to the A212 at Sydenham Station. It was interrupted a short distance by the A2214. When the plans for the A205 (South Circular) were implemented, the A2216 gave part of its route to it and was then divided into three parts.
