Ademola Lookman Olajade Alade Aylola Lookman (born October 20, 1997 in Wandsworth ) is an English football player of Nigerian descent. He is under contract with RB Leipzig .

Career

Ademola Lookman started his professional career at Charlton Athletic . On November 3, 2015, he made his first team debut. The striker scored his first goal on December 5, 2015.

In January 2017, Lookman moved to the Premier League for Everton FC for € 8.8 million , where he signed a contract until June 30, 2021. On January 15, he came against Manchester City for his first appearance for the club from Liverpool. Lookman came on for Ross Barkley in the 90th minute and scored straight away to make it 4-0. He made a total of 15 games for the English first division, in which he scored a goal.

Shortly before the end of the 2018 winter transfer period, Lookman moved to the Bundesliga , where he played on loan for RB Leipzig for half a year . He made his first appearance on February 3rd and scored the 1-0 winning goal against Borussia Mönchengladbach . Lookman played a total of 11 Bundesliga games for Leipzig and scored 5 goals. The loan ended on June 30, 2018.

For the season 2018/19 returned Lookman to Everton back. Under the head coach Marco Silva he could not prevail and came to 21 Premier League appearances (three times from the start) without a goal of his own.

For the season 2019/20 returned to Lookman RB Leipzig back and signed a contract with a term until 30 June 2024. In the first round of the British to just three Bundesliga games and an insert in the came Champions League .

National team

As the son of Nigerian parents, who was born in England , Lookman has the options to play for both England and the Nigerian national team.

He went through England's U19 and U20 selection . He won the world title with England's U20 national team in 2017 and was nominated for the U21 selection for the first time in September 2017 . Lookman played his first game in the European Championship qualification against the Dutch U21 national team .
