Nordi Mukiele Mulere (born November 1, 1997 in Montreuil ) is a French football player with Congolese roots. He has been under contract with German first division club RB Leipzig since the 2018/19 season .

Career

Mukiele grew up as the son of Congolese parents in the Paris suburb of Montreuil, where he was discovered by Paris FC . From 2003 to 2014 he played in the youth division of the PFC before joining Stade Laval . Over the next three years he completed a total of 34 games in Ligue 2 for the club from the Mayenne Valley. In January 2017 he moved to the first division club HSC Montpellier and immediately rose to become a regular player.

For the 2018/19 season, Mukiele moved to Germany to RB Leipzig , where he received a contract until 2023. He made his Bundesliga debut on the 2nd matchday of the season in the home game against Fortuna Düsseldorf , which ended in a 1-1 draw.

During the season 2018/19 was Mukiele for a lack of discipline before the Europa League -Heimspiel on 20 September 2018 against RB Salzburg (2: 3) for the coming Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt with his teammate Jean-Kévin Augustin coach and sports director Ralf Rangnick deleted from the squad. Instead of being allowed to participate in the game, they were sanctioned with penal training. Before the defeat in Leipzig, Mukiele and Augustin had been sitting on the dugout and playing with their smartphones , while their teammates had already returned to the dressing room from warming up.

National team

In May 2015 Mukiele made his debut for the French U-18 national team under coach Ludovic Batelli . He went through the youth teams of France from the U-18 to the U-21 .
