Career

society

Angeliño began his career in the Escolas Luis Calvo Sanz. In 2007 he moved to Deportivo La Coruña . In 2013 he went to England to Manchester City . On June 16, 2015, he was loaned to the United States to sister club New York City FC , for which he made his MLS debut a few days after the commitment .

He made his professional debut in January 2016 after returning to Manchester when he came on as a substitute for Gaël Clichy in the FA Cup against Aston Villa . He made his international debut for City in August 2016 when he was brought into play for Nolito in the 60th minute of the second leg of the Champions League playoff against Steaua Bucharest .

In January 2017 Angeliño was awarded to the Spanish second division club FC Girona . In the same month, however, he was loaned out to Girona's league rivals, RCD Mallorca , without having played a game for the Catalans.

For the 2017/18 season Angeliño was awarded to NAC Breda in the Dutch Eredivisie . There he established himself as a regular player and scored three goals in 34 league appearances. For the 2018/19 season Angeliño moved within the Eredivisie to PSV Eindhoven . He signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2023. Here, too, he established himself as a regular player and was always in the starting line-up in 34 league games.

For the season 2019/20 returned Angelino back to Manchester City. He signed a contract with the reigning champions that ran until June 30, 2023. After Angeliño only made 6 league appearances behind Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Sintschenko in the left-back position, he moved to Bundesliga club RB Leipzig at the end of January 2020 until the end of the season on loan . On February 22, 2020, he scored his first goal for the club in the Bundesliga match against Schalke 04. The Spaniard quickly arrived in German football and initially played in left midfield, but then moved to the left-back position after a temporary switch to a back four, while Lukas Klostermann was moved from there to central defense. Angeliño was third in the Bundesliga with the Saxons and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League with them , where they lost to Paris Saint-Germain . The winger then left Leipzig again, but said that he would like to “continue playing for RB” in the future.

National team

Angeliño played for the Spanish U17 national team in November 2013 when he played against Germany . Two missions followed for the U21s in 2018.
