Alegria is a Filipino municipality in the province of Cebu .
geography
Alegria is located in the southwest of the island of Cebu on the coast of the Tanon Strait , the distance to Cebu City is approx. 117 km. In the north the municipality borders on Badian , in the east on the municipalities of Dalaguete , Alcoy and Boljoon . In the south, Malabuyoc borders on Alegria. The climate is characterized by two distinct seasons, a short one to two month dry season and a rainy season and thus belongs to climate type III according to the corona system of the Philippine climate classification .
