Joseph Alfred Duncan (born March 10, 1993 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian football player who is under contract with Sassuolo Calcio .

Career

Alfred Duncan, who is mainly used in central and defensive midfield, moved to Inter Milan in 2010 , where he was initially used in the Primavera team and with this was able to win both the NextGen Series and the Campionato Primavera in 2012. In the 2012/13 season he made his debut in Inters A-Team and completed four missions before he was loaned to the Serie B club AS Livorno during the winter break . There he was a regular player and was able to celebrate promotion to the first division with the Tuscans . Also in the 2013/14 season Duncan ran for Livorno.

For the 2014/15 season , Duncan was loaned to Sampdoria Genoa for two seasons . At the end of the 2014/15 season, Duncan moved to Genoa for a transfer fee of 2.6 million euros. On July 23, 2015, Duncan initially moved to Sassuolo Calcio on loan . However, a purchase obligation of six million euros was agreed after the loan expired. At Sassuolo he was immediately a regular player. In the 2016/17 season, he suffered a few injuries, so he only made 21 league appearances. In the following season he was not uninjured. This should stay that way in 2018/19 . This time, however, he came to 26 games and four goals. The season 2019/20 he stayed only until winter break, because he was at the Fiorentina awarded. On September 1, he was firmly committed by Fiorentina.

National team

Duncan was a member of the Ghanaian youth team that finished third at the 2013 U-20 World Cup in Turkey . He came to four missions in the course of the tournament.

On November 14, 2012, he made his debut in a 1-0 win over Cape Verde for the A-team of Ghana .
