Christian Michael Kouamé Kouakou (born December 6, 1997 in Abidjan ) is an Ivorian football player who is currently under contract as a loan player from CFC Genoa at Fiorentina . The striker has been an Ivorian international since October 2019 .
Career
society
Kouamé made his debut for AC Prato in Serie C on September 6, 2015 in the 1: 2 away defeat against AC Pisa . After a six-month loan with the U-19s from Inter Milan , he switched to second division AS Cittadella on July 27, 2016 . In his first season in 2016/17 he was unable to play for over three months due to a torn tendon and therefore only played 15 games in which he scored twice. In his second season 2017/18 , Kouamé was able to score eleven goals in 40 league games and set up as many goals.
On July 13, 2018, Christian Kouamé's move to the first division club CFC Genoa was announced. He signed a five-year contract with Genoa. In his first 2018/19 season , he appeared in all 38 league games, scoring four goals and preparing six more. After starting the 2019/20 season promisingly with five goals and three assists in 11 league games , he tore a cruciate ligament during a tournament with the U23 national team.
Despite the injury, league competitor Fiorentina secured the services of the striker on January 31, 2020 with a purchase option.
National team
On October 13, 2019, he made his debut in a 3-1 win in a friendly international match against the Democratic Republic of the Congo for the Ivorian senior team when he came on as a substitute for Nicolas Pépé in the closing stages .
