Amber Marie Bongard (born August 24, 1997 in Potsdam , Brandenburg ) is a German actress who became known as a child and youth actress .

Career

Amber Bongard is the daughter of the visual artist and author Katrin Bongard and the younger sister of Isabel Bongard and Leonard Carow . She is managed by her parents' agency.

Her career as a child actress began in two television films as the daughter of Juliane Köhler . In the 2003 Tatort episode Große Liebe , she played a supporting role at the side of her siblings. In 2005 she played a leading role in the award-winning social drama In Matters Kaminski , alongside Köhler and Matthias Brandt as a child of parents with learning disabilities. She appeared in several television and cinema commercials and had other, often larger supporting roles in cinema and TV films, including Ulrich Köhler's Windows on Monday , Chris Kraus ' hit film Four minutes and ARD psychodrama The woman at the end of the road with Maren Eggert and Inga Busch . In the ARD psychodrama Schattenkinder she was seen alongside Karoline Eichhorn , in the tragic comedy Patchwork alongside Gabriela Maria Schmeide and Fritz Karl . As Annie , she was Julia Jentsch's daughter in Hermine Huntgeburth's literary adaptation, Effi Briest . She played children's roles in the period films Die Gräfin von Julie Delpy and Die Päpstin von Sönke Wortmann .

In 2010 and 2011 there were two main movie roles: Amber Bongard was the adolescent sister of the main character portrayed by Anna Fischer in the teen comedy Groupies Don't Stay for Breakfast . In Marcus H. Rosenmüller's Summer in Orange , she played as Petra Schmidt-Schaller's film daughter Lili , who grew up in a sannyasin flat share and who longs for normality. She received a lot of praise from the critics for this; the film critic Rüdiger Suchsland described her as “almost a professional child star”. She acted in the 2012 movie Ostwind, directed by Katja von Garnier . The filming of the sequel east wind 2 began in early July 2014.
