Amy Aquino (born March 20, 1957 in Teaneck , New Jersey ) is an American actress .

Life

Amy Aquino was born in Teaneck in 1957 to Salvatore and Adele Aquino.

She received her Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University and her Master of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama .

Aquino's film career began in the late 1980s with two high-profile short appearances in Moonstruck and Women’s Arms . In Moonstruck , she was seen as the over-the-top hairdresser for Loretta Castorini, portrayed by Cher ; In the concise final scene in Die Waffen der Frauen she played the assistant to Tess McGill ( Melanie Griffith ), who was promoted from secretary to manager .
