Andrej Kramarić (born June 19, 1991 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian football player . The Croatian international has been under contract with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim since the beginning of 2016 .

Career

Kramarić began his career in the youth of Dinamo Zagreb . For the youth teams of Dinamo he scored over 450 goals, setting a club record. On April 24, 2009 he made his debut for the first team in the game against NK Zagreb . Between 2009 and 2011 Kramarić was three times Croatian champion with Dinamo. In 2009 and 2011 he was also a cup winner with Dinamo. In February 2012 he was loaned to NK Lokomotiva Zagreb for the rest of the season. Then the loan business was extended for another season.

In the summer of 2013, Kramarić moved to HNK Rijeka . There he was the Croatian cup winner for the third time in 2014 and top scorer in the cup competition with ten meetings. In the 2014/15 season, Kramarić was the top scorer with 21 goals in front of Chilean Ángelo Henríquez (20 goals) , although he left Rijeka in the winter .

For the second half of the 2014/15 season , Kramarić moved to the Premier League at Leicester City , where the striker was unable to prevail. If he played 13 games in the Premier League in spring 2015, he only played 2 games in autumn, in which he came to a full 22 minutes of playing time. Since he was used in less than five games in the championship year, he is not listed as a “Premier League champions” by the Premier League and consequently did not receive a winner's medal.

On January 20, 2016, he moved to the Bundesliga for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on loan until the end of the 2015/16 season . He scored his first Bundesliga goal in a 1-1 draw against SV Werder Bremen on February 13, 2016 (21st matchday); however, he was later expelled from the field with the yellow and red card. Overall, Kramarić came on 15 missions, in which he scored five goals and submitted four more. For the 2016/17 season he was firmly signed by TSG and given a contract dated June 30, 2020, which was extended early in August 2018 to 2022. His 46th Bundesliga goal (the 1-0 win against VfB Stuttgart on March 16, 2019) let him draw level with the previous club's record goal scorer Sejad Salihović . On matchday 27 he scored his 47th Bundesliga goal against Bayer 04 Leverkusen, making him Hoffenheim's sole record scorer in the Bundesliga. On June 27, 2020, the last matchday of the 2019/20 Bundesliga season, he was the first TSG Hoffenheim player to score four goals in a Bundesliga game in a 4-0 win in the away game against Borussia Dortmund .

National team

Kramarić, who played in many U-national teams, has played for the Croatian senior team since 2014 . On 31 May 2016 he was taken to the squad for the UEFA EURO 2016 appointed to France. He was used there three times and was substituted on each time in the final minutes. This was also the case in the round of 16 against Portugal , when the team lost 1-0 after extra time and was eliminated. He was used in all games of the 2018 World Cup and was runner-up with the team.
