Angel is a 1984 song written by Madonna and Stephen Bray . Nile Rodgers produced the pop song, which was first released in November 1984 on the album Like a Virgin and was released as the third single on April 10, 1985. The song was a top five hit in the US and UK .
Origin and content
In the song, Madonna sings about a girl who is suffering from depression. An “angel” puts an end to what she falls in love with at the same time.
