history

Foundation and Disobey (2017 to 2019)

Singer Tommy Vext (2019)

The band consists of the singer Tommy Vext (formerly Divine Heresy , formerly Snot ), the drummer John Boecklin (formerly DevilDriver ), the guitarist Doc Coyle (formerly God Forbid ), the guitarist Chris Cain ( Bury Your Dead , For the Fallen Dreams ) and bassist Kyle Konkiel (formerly In This Moment ). The manager of the band is Zoltán Báthory from the band Five Finger Death Punch . The band announced that their Mark Lewis-produced debut album will be released in spring 2018. In November 2017 Bad Wolves released their first single Learn to Live .

On January 18, 2018, they released their second single Zombie , a cover version of the song by the Cranberries . The Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan was supposed to record the song with the band, but died on the day of recording in London . A music video was released on February 22, 2018. The song peaked at number one on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart. Zombie was awarded platinum in the US and Canada . The debut album Disobey was released on May 11, 2018 and reached number 23 in the US, number 24 in the Swiss, number 39 in the Austrian, number 51 in the British and number 55 in the German album charts.

Guitarist Doc Coyle (2019)

The band toured North America in the spring of 2018 with Five Finger Death Punch, Shinedown and Starset . After a concert in New York City on June 19, 2018, the band one handed check in the amount of 250,000 US dollars to O'Riordan's children. At the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards , Zombie was nominated for the Rock Song of the Year category, but the award went to Greta Van Fleet . In summer 2019, the Bad Wolves played at the European festivals Rock im Park , Nova Rock , Download Festival , Graspop Metal Meeting and AlpenFlair . The band then toured Europe supporting Three Days Grace and North America supporting Papa Roach .

NATION (since 2019)

In the meantime, the band worked in various studios on their second studio album NATION , which was released on October 25, 2019. In contrast to Disobey , the album did not contain a cover version, as the band wanted to concentrate more on their own material, according to singer Tommy Vext. With number 60 in the German, number 63 in the Swiss and number 78 in the US album charts, NATION achieved lower placements than its predecessor. The single Killing Me Slowly reached number one on the mainstream rock songs chart. In January and February 2020, the Bad Wolves toured Europe together with Megadeth in the opening act for Five Finger Death Punch .

For the summer of 2020, the band announced a co-headlining tour with Hollywood Undead and the support groups From Ashes to New and Fire from the Gods , before the Bad Wolves act as the opening act for the North American tour of the bands Staind and Disturbed .
