geography

The Banderbach of the same name flows through the village , which canalised and is diverted from its original creek bed before Zirndorf to the Bibert . The Banderbach caused flooding in the Zirndorf old town almost every spring. Immediately north of the village, the Irlesgraben flows into the Banderbach as a right tributary. In the north-west lies the forest area Brünst, in the north the district Weiherhof . Otherwise, the place is surrounded by arable land and grassland with a few trees.

The district road FÜ 19 runs to Wachendorf (3 km west) or to Zirndorf (2.4 km south-east). Communal roads lead to Weiherhof (0.5 km north) and Bronnamberg (1.7 km south-west).

Banderbacher Fault

This is an anomaly of overlapping clay and sandstones in the bubble sandstone of the Central Franconian Basin . Thus, in forming the sandstone keuper region between two closely spaced, incident to the northeast disorders, a small plaice about lifted a meter, which can be seen in the exposed warp at the slope recess.

Since the mid-1980s, the “Association for the Promotion and Conservation of the Banderbacher Warren e. V. “a local association for the maintenance of the monument.

history

The first documentary mention was in 1316 in the valid book of the Poor Clare Monastery of St. Klara in Nuremberg ; there a place is called "Banderpach". A Hermann von Banderbach was described in 1325 as the monastery administrator of St. Klara in Nuremberg . In the same year the brother Walther bought alms from the monastery of St. Klara in "Panderpach". In 1339 the monastery of St. Klara and its abbess Elsbeth gave the brothers “Cunrad and Hermann the Heulern” the right to inherit their property in “Panderbach”. The place remained associated with the monastery for a long time. Numerous other documents from these years prove this. In 1380 the monastery now owned the whole place. Only three properties were named. In the Bergsche Reichslehen book a certain "Hübener to Bond Erbach" was entered 1396th

A document, which must have been drawn up between 1373 and 1398, shows that the Bamberg bishop Lamprecht was entitled to the November tithe in "Banderbach" (this is the current name, but changes again and again in the further course). Banderbach appears in 1414 under the name "Wanderbacher Weyer". In 1430 the village was run as "Bandersbach" in the parish of Roßtal . In 1432 it was again the monastery of St. Klara, whereby it was an acre of arable land in "Panderbach" as an inheritance to a Hans Kugler. The place is called in 1504 "Pannderpach". A deed of purchase from the same year certifies the Zirndorfer Contz Auerhammer the sale of a drive of cows and sheep to the village of “Panderpach”.

The influence of the St. Klara Monastery in Nuremberg persisted long after the Reformation . Banderbach felt like all other places around the Alte Veste in Zirndorf: In this fateful year 1632 it was also devastated. Exact reports about this are not available. In 1678 Banderbach still belonged to the parish of Roßtal, from 1711 the place belonged to the parish of Zirndorf. In 1732 a document mentions a "tub stream".

At the end of the 18th century there were 17 properties in Banderbach. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Cadolzburg . The rulership of the village and the community was held by the state office of alms in the imperial city of Nuremberg, but this was denied by the Cadolzburg office. The landlords were the Kastenamt Cadolzburg (a quarter courtyard), the Kaplanei Zirndorf (two houses), the imperial city of Nuremberg: Landesalmosenamt (one courtyard, a half courtyard, a shepherd's house), St. Klara monastery office (two half courtyards ), hospital office (two courtyards, four half yards, one estate) and Nuremberg owners: von Behaim (one half yard), von Harsdorf (one quarter yard).

The principality of Ansbach - and with it Banderbach - passed into the Kingdom of Prussia in 1792 . In 1806 the principality was finally incorporated into the Kingdom of Bavaria .

As part of the municipal edict, Banderbach was assigned to the Leichendorf tax district formed in 1808 . It belonged to the rural community of Bronnamberg , which was founded in the same year . In voluntary jurisdiction, one property was subject to the Fischbach Patrimonial Court until 1812 , and one property to the Leyh Patrimonial Court from 1823 to 1835 .

In contrast to its neighboring towns of Bronnamberg and Weiherhof, there was no major building boom in Banderbach in the 1970s and therefore the town has remained at around this population level to this day. In 1977 a new fire station was inaugurated. The municipality of Bronnamberg was dissolved on May 1, 1978 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria and incorporated into the city of Zirndorf. The fire station was expanded in 1983. In 1989 the new local connecting road Bronnamberg-Banderbach was opened, which, as a bypass road, relieves Banderbach of through traffic.

In 2007 the village community founded the association "Die Banderbacher". The fire station in Banderbach, built in 1977 and 1983, serves as a club house. The first board member, Hans Ulrich, announced at the annual general meeting in 2011 that the association already has more than 100 members. The statutes of the association "Die Banderbacher" show the maintenance and promotion of the village community as a purpose. This is implemented in particular through the monthly meetings in the clubhouse. The necessary changes in the energy transition in Germany were supported by the association "Die Banderbacher" with the construction of a photovoltaic system in 2011 on the clubhouse.
