The district road FÜ 14 leads to Anwanden (1.6 km south) or the state road 2245 crossing to Leichendorf (1.4 km north). Municipal roads lead to Oberasbach (1.4 km east), to Rehdorf (1.4 km south-east) and crossing the state road 2245 to Wintersdorf (1.8 km north).
The so-called "Linder Gruben" are a nature reserve , the peculiar hollows above the local connecting road Lind-Wintersdorf are completely covered with liverworts in spring.
history
In 1372 the place was first mentioned as "Lynde" when Emperor Karl IV enfeoffed the Nuremberg citizen Ulrich Strohmayr with a court. The place name is derived from the plant genus linden . In the Salbuch of Heilsbronn Monastery from 1402 the place was mentioned as "Linden". In 1413 "Linth" was listed in the files of the judges' office in Roßtal . In 1430 Lind belonged to the parish of Roßtal. Like the residents of the neighboring town of Anwanden , the Lindner family delivered the grain tithe to the cathedral chapter in Eichstätt, although their village was already part of Zirndorf church. Despite the Reformation, Zirndorf is still Eichstätt's own church in 1555.
Most of the villages in the immediate vicinity of the Alte Veste were destroyed in the Thirty Years' War in 1632 by the troops of Wallenstein when they withdrew. Lind was completely destroyed and was deserted for a long time. In the years 1681 and 1695 for the first time there were reports about farmers, a Conrad Peter and an Erhard Lämmermann.
By the end of the 18th century there were five properties in Lind. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach judge's office in Roßtal . The landlords were the Mendelsche Twelve Brothers Foundation of the imperial city of Nuremberg (two half farms) and Nuremberg owners: von Pömer (one farm, one estate), von Welser (one farm). The village and community rule was exercised by the landlords through hereditary rule .
The Principality of Ansbach - and with it Lind - passed into the Kingdom of Prussia in 1792 . In 1801 there were still five households in the village, all of which were Nuremberg. In 1806 the principality was finally incorporated into the Kingdom of Bavaria .
As part of the community edict, Lind was assigned to the Leichendorf tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Leichendorf , which was founded in the same year . From 1821 to 1835, a property was subject to the patrimonial Groß- und Kleingeschaidt in the voluntary jurisdiction .
In 1894 the Anwanden-Lind volunteer fire brigade was founded. In 1957, the community of Leichendorf in Lind created a community-owned cemetery with a morgue, memorial and bell tower, the "landmark of Lind".
As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , Lind was incorporated into Zirndorf on January 1, 1976.
The new fire station was inaugurated in 1979, and a biotope was created next to it in 1984.
