history

There are numerous springs in the immediate vicinity of Bronnamberg (Kaiserquelle, Königsquelle, etc.). Hence the name "Brunnen am Berg = Bronnamberg". In the Germanic prehistoric times, sources played an important role in the popular belief of our ancestors, because they were sacred and mysterious places, and they were valid. a. as an entrance to the underworld.

Archaeological finds in the neighboring village of Weinzierlein, such as the barrows in Erlach, show that the area dates back to around 1000 BC. Was settled.

The village of Bronnamberg was first mentioned in 1351. An Adelheid Hermann (Lebsing's widow) bequeathed her house and property to "Brunne an dem berg" to the church in Langenzenn . In 1379, the burgrave Friedrich von Nürnberg founded an early mass on an estate in "Brunn an dem perg". In 1430 “Prunamberg” belonged to the parish of Roßtal , but in the course of the Reformation it became part of the parish of Zirndorf.

Further certificates from the years:

In the war year 1632 there was a report of a Bronnamberger farmer daughter Elisabeth Streit (born 1559), who donated a scholarship for students in the imperial city of Nuremberg . With this she supported many people in need during the Thirty Years War . Bronnamberg was also badly affected by the Thirty Years' War, because it was in close proximity to the battle of the Alte Veste near Zirndorf . The war and its aftermath set the village backwards for decades.

At the end of the 18th century there were 16 properties in Bronnamberg. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Cadolzburg . The village and community rulership was held by the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste office in Cadolzburg . The landlords were the Cadolzburg caste office (four yards, one half yard, six estates, two houses, a shepherd's house) and the Langenzenn monastery office (one estate, one house).

In 1792 the Principality of Ansbach - and with it Bronnamber - became part of the Kingdom of Prussia . In 1806 the principality was incorporated into the Kingdom of Bavaria .

In 1808, Bronnamberg was assigned to the tax district Leichendorf as part of the municipal edict . In the same year the rural community of Bronnamberg was founded, to which the places Banderbach and Weiherhof belonged. She was in administration and jurisdiction of the district court Cadolzburg and in the financial administration of the bursary Cadolzburg (in 1920 the tax office Cadolzburg renamed). From 1862 Bronnamberg was administered by the Fürth district office (renamed the Fürth district in 1938 ). Jurisdiction remained with the Cadolzburg District Court until 1879, from 1880 to March 1, 1931 it was with the Cadolzburg District Court , since then it has been exercised by the Fürth District Court . The financial management was taken over on January 1, 1929 by the Fürth tax office . The municipality had an area of 6.756 km².

The “ Voluntary Fire Brigade Bronnamberg-Banderbach-Weiherhof” was founded in 1886.

In 1896, the Bavarian state government approved the formation of a separate school district for the places Bronnamberg, Leichendorf , Wintersdorf and Weinzierlein . A school building was therefore built in Wintersdorf in 1898.

Until the middle of the 20th century, the size and character of the farming village of Bronnamberg did not change significantly.

Due to the German economic miracle after the Second World War and the direct proximity to the industrial city triangle Nuremberg-Fürth-Erlangen, numerous new residential buildings and housing estates have been built around the old town center since the 1970s. With the "Besold concrete plant", the first medium-sized company also settled.

Weiherhof in particular, which belongs to Bronnamberg, turned into a major construction site due to the building boom. The old community of Bronnamberg took care of supply and disposal, built roads, and the workers' welfare organization a kindergarten. During this time a post office and two financial institutions were established. Doctors and dentists and a pharmacy set up shop. For the originally small, rural community of Bronnamberg, this rapid development was an enormous challenge, not only financially, but also socially.

In 1974 the population of the municipality doubled. The new fire station of the " Banderbach-Bronnamberg-Weiherhof Volunteer Fire Brigade " was inaugurated in 1978.

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Bronnamberg was dissolved on May 1, 1978 and incorporated into the town of Zirndorf in the district of Fürth . Due to the strong influx in Weiherhof, the municipality of Bronnamberg had over 3500 inhabitants at that time. The last mayors were Mr. Johann Stadelmann and Mr. Armin Eckert.

In 1979 a playground and football field were inaugurated. In 1988 the new Bronnamberg – Banderbach municipal road was opened.
