Barbara Bauer (* 1975 in Passau ) is a German actress .

Life

Education and theater

Barbara Bauer completed her acting training at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich from 1995 to 1999 . In 2000 she was awarded the Bavarian State Government's sponsorship award for young artists in the field of performing arts.

Even before completing her acting studies, she received a guest contract at the Schauspielhaus Bochum at the end of 1998 for the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz . From 1999 to summer 2000 she had a part-time contract at the Munich Volkstheater , where she a. a. as a maid Zenz in the Bavarian folk play The Sold Grandfather and as Lucie in the French comedy Hase Hase .

At the beginning of the 2000/01 season, Bauer went to the Nationaltheater Mannheim , of which she was a permanent member of the ensemble until the end of the 2002/03 season. Here she played u. a. the chambermaid Arabella in The Conspiracy of Fiesco in Genoa (2000, directed by Jens-Daniel Herzog ), the Rosetta in Leonce and Lena (2000, directed by Stefan Nolte ), Celia in As You Like It (2001, directed by Simone Blattner ) , Lieschen in Faust I (2001, directed by Frank-Patrick Steckel ), Molly Griesinger in Der Marquis von Keith (2002, directed by KD Schmidt) and the smugglers' ceremony in Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti (2003, directed by Marlon Metzen ). From February to April 2004 she played Karoline in the Horváth play Kasimir und Karoline at the Mannheim National Theater .

This was followed by guest engagements at the Tiroler Volksschauspiele in Telfs (2005) and at the Schwäbisch Hall open-air theater (2006). From June to August 2010 she appeared again at the Tiroler Volksschauspiele, this time with the role of Angela in King Hirsch by Carlo Gozzi in a production by Thomas Blubacher . In the years 2012 to 2014 she was engaged in various play and guest contracts at the Theater an der Rott . In spring 2017 she was a guest at the independent theater formation “Ensemble for unpopular leisure activities” with the play Käthe Hermann by Anne Lepper in the Kulturhaus Dornbirn.

Movie and TV

Bauer has also been in the cinema and regularly on television since the early 2000s, often in productions on Bavarian TV and ZDF , where she embodied characters with a South German , Upper Bavarian or Austrian background. She was almost always cast in the role of folk actress . Many of her roles were brief appearances in which she appeared as a secretary, nurse, saleswoman, receptionist or other service staff at the side of the main characters. In the film comedy Schwere Jungs (2006) by director Marcus H. Rosenmüller she had a supporting role as Ursel; she was the wife of the landlord Franzl ( Michael A. Grimm ). In the movie Die Geschichte vom Brandner Kaspar (2008), she embodied, under the direction of Joseph Vilsmaier , the stupid "Kugler Resl", the mayor's daughter.

In the ARD television series Agathe can’t leave it alone (2006-2007) she played Miss Buchecker, the secretary of the Detective Inspector Krefeld ( Maximilian Krückl ), in a continuous supporting role . In the BR television series Der Kaiser von Schexing (2008-2009) she also had a continuous supporting role as Traudl Mair, who was a town hall employee. In Polizeiruf 110: Schuld (first broadcast: 2012), she played the farmer's daughter Kati, the accused's pregnant fiancée, alongside Daniel Christensen . In the BR television series Der Komödienstadel she was seen in the Bavarian comedy Alone Among Cows (first broadcast: March 2013) in the youthful supporting role of Maria Assinger; at the side of Dieter Fischer she was the ex-girlfriend of a mountain farmer.

She also had episode roles and a. in the television series Der Bergdoktor (2008; as a desperate mother Karin), Munich 7 (2015; as Lilly Ismeier, the resolute mother of a high school graduate), SOKO Munich (2015; as Carolin Kunze, the leader of a self-help group for " messies ") and several times in the ZDF hit series The Rosenheim Cops . In January 2018, Bauer was seen in the "Rosenheim Cops" in a leading role in the episode; she played Regina Bauer, the suspect cousin and sole heir to a murdered market woman.

Others

Bauer also worked as a radio play speaker , a. a. for the Bavarian Radio and the North German Radio . She is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS). Bauer lives in Munich and Vienna .
