Beekdaelen ( Limburgish Baekdale ) is a municipality in the Dutch province of Limburg , the result of the merger of the communities 1 January 2019, Nuth , Onderbanken and Schinnen emerged.

Beekdaelen is located in the southeast of the Netherlands on the border with North Rhine-Westphalia in the Federal Republic of Germany . The communities of Nuth and Onderbanken are part of the Plusregio Parkstad Limburg .

The first local election in the history of the municipality took place on November 21, 2018. The CDA achieved the highest percentage of votes in the election in Beekdaelen, which is in the very Catholic Limburg.

In the legislative period from 2019 to 2022, the municipality of Beekdaelen will be formed by a coalition of the CDA, GroenLinks, the PvdA and the Vernieuwingsgroep . While the CDA is represented by three councilors in the College van burgemeester en wethouders ( German  college of mayors of councilors ), the Vernieuwingsgroep is present with two councilors and GroenLinks and the PvdA provide a joint councilor. The college was appointed at a council meeting on January 22, 2019. The following people belong to the college and manage the following departments:
