Ben Williams (football referee)
Benjamin Jon Williams (born April 14, 1977 in Canberra ) is an Australian football referee .
He has been a FIFA referee since 2005 and has headed the Asian Champions League since 2008 . In 2010 he was selected for the Club World Cup , where he was not used, and for the soccer tournament of the Asian Games in Guangzhou . Williams also played at the 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar , where he led the preliminary round match between Kuwait and China (0-2). In 2012 he was allowed to take part in the Olympic Games and lead the AFC Champions League Final. He was also used by FIFA at the U20 World Cup in 2013. At the 2014 World Cup , he headed three games, two of them in the group stage and one in the round of 16.
