Bodzianske Lúky (Hungarian Bogyarét ) is a municipality in southwest Slovakia with 188 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is located in Okres Komárno , part of the Nitriansky kraj .
geography
The municipality is located in the Slovakian Danube lowlands , more precisely in the southern part of the Great Schüttinsel . The town center is located at an altitude of 109 m nm and is 14 kilometers from Veký Meder and 32 kilometers from Komárno .
Neighboring municipalities are Sokolce in the west and north, Kolárovo and Kameničná in the northeast, Zemianska Olča in the east and Bodza in the south.
history
Today's community was created in 1990 by splitting off from the Bodza community .
The first settlers settled here around 1780.
Until 1918/1919 the place in Komorn County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia. As a result of the First Vienna Arbitration Award , it was once again part of Hungary between 1938 and 1945.
population
According to the 2011 census, Bodzianske Lúky had 203 inhabitants, including 186 Magyars and 14 Slovaks . Three residents did not provide any information about their ethnicity .
166 residents professed to the Roman Catholic Church and 22 residents to the Reformed Church. Six residents were without religious denomination and the denomination was not determined for nine residents.
