Mudroňovo is a municipality in southwest Slovakia with 128 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is located in Okres Komárno , part of the Nitriansky kraj .
geography
The municipality is located in the Slovakian Danube lowlands , on the edge of one of its sub-units, the Pohronská pahorkatina hills . The center of the village is at an altitude of 150 m nm and is 20 kilometers from Komárno .
Neighboring communities are Modrany in the north and east, Šrobárová in the south, Marcelová in the west and Svätý Peter in the north-west.
history
The present municipality was established in 1921 on parceled land in the neighboring municipality of Modrany and by outsourcing from this municipality and was settled by Slovak settlers. As a result of the First Vienna Arbitration Award , the municipality was part of Hungary between 1938 and 1945 and, until 1951, again part of the municipality of Modrany (1938-1945 officially Hungarian Madar ). The Slovak settlers expelled in 1938 returned after 1945.
population
According to the 2011 census, there were 122 inhabitants in Mudroňovo, including 91 Slovaks , seven Magyars , four Czechs and three Bulgarians . 17 residents did not provide any information on ethnicity .
45 residents professed to the Roman Catholic Church and 40 residents to the Evangelical Church AB 13 residents were non-denominational and the denomination of 24 residents was not determined.
