The Principality of Bayreuth was the landlord of all properties (caste office Neustadt: 4 goods, 1 small estate; monastery office Münchaurach : 4 goods, 2 semi-goods).

As part of the community edict , Bottenbach was assigned to the Herrnneuse tax district formed in 1811 . It also belonged to the rural community of Herrnneuses, founded in 1813 . With the second community edict (1818) it was changed to the newly founded rural community Rennhofen .

On January 1, 1972 Rennhofen was incorporated into Emskirchen as part of the regional reform .
