Buch am Buchrain (officially: Buch a.Buchrain ) is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Erding and a member of the Pastetten administrative community .
geography
The community is located in the Munich region around 14 km south of the district town of Erding , 28 km from Munich Airport , 16 km southwest of Dorfen , 18 km north of Ebersberg and 38 km from the state capital Munich .
In addition to Buch am Buchrain, the 15 parts of the municipality are the villages of Mitterbuch and Oberbuch , the hamlets of Haidberg , Hammersdorf , Hausmehring , Herweg , Kaltenbach , Loiperding and Oberndorf , the Tannenhof estate and the deserted areas of Fang , Ödenbach , Pitz and Sinsöd .
history
The place can be proven for the first time in the 8th century in Freising documents. From the 10th century to the beginning of the 15th century the local noble family von Buch (“de Povcha”) or Pucher can be traced. Buch am Buchrain belonged to the Landshut Rent Office and the Erding Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria. In 1818, with the Bavarian community edict, today's community was established. In 2008 the place celebrated its 1200th birthday.

Since 1972, the year of the municipal reform, the population has increased by 678 people until 2016. This corresponds to a growth of 80.52 percent. In the last ten (five) years the population increased by 7.12 (4.04) percent.
Between 1988 and 2018, the municipality grew from 1,078 to 1,526 by 448 inhabitants or 41.6%.

traffic
The A 94 (Munich-Pocking), which opened on October 1, 2019, runs through the northern municipal area, with which Buch am Buchrain is indirectly connected via junction 13 ( Pastetten ). As another important regional connecting road, the state road St 2332 crosses the town in an east-west direction and the district road ED 20 in a north-south direction.
