The Austrian federal government Gorbach II was agreed by the ÖVP and SPÖ after the National Council election on November 18, 1962 ; The negotiations dragged on until March 1963. Federal President Adolf Schärf appointed the cabinet on March 27, 1963 . It resigned on February 25, 1964 , because the ÖVP wanted to replace the Federal Chancellor, and was entrusted by the Federal President with the continuation of business until April 2, 1964 .
