The Austrian federal government Raab IV was put together without prior election to the National Council and was a practically unchanged continuation of the resigned ÖVP - SPÖ cabinet Raab III. The last cabinet under the leadership of Julius Raab was appointed by Federal President Adolf Schärf on November 3, 1960 and was in office until to his resignation on April 11, 1961 , which was connected with a change of Chancellor at the request of the ÖVP. The term of office of Raab IV with 159 days was the second shortest of the Second Republic after the federal government Figl III with 120 days.
