Bundestag constituency Werra-Meißner

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bundestag constituency Werra-Meißner was a constituency in Hesse from 1976 to 2002 . Most recently, it included the Werra-Meißner district and, from the Kassel district, the municipalities of Baunatal , Fuldabrück , Helsa , Kaufungen , Lohfelden , Nieste , Niestetal , Schauenburg and Söhrewald . From 1949 to 1976 the constituency was called Eschwege .

For the 2002 elections lost Nordhessen a constituency. The Werra-Meißner constituency was dissolved and its area was divided between the Werra-Meißner - Hersfeld-Rotenburg and Kassel constituencies. The constituency was always won by candidates from the SPD , most recently by Joachim Tappe .
