The Caterham CT01 is the successor to the Lotus T128 . The front with two humps at the height of the front suspension is striking, which extend horizontally to the cockpit and form a kind of V-shape. In addition, the Caterham CT01 has narrow side boxes and a "hole in the rear". The Caterham CT01 was developed under the direction of Mike Gascoyne and Mark Smith .

Red Bull Racing is supplying the transmission, the hydraulic system and the KERS , which will be used for the first time in a Lotus / Caterham. The 2.4 V8 engine comes from Renault . The tires are provided by Pirelli .

Painting and sponsorship

The Caterham CT01 is painted in " British Racing Green " and also has yellow and white color accents. A lettering on the engine cover advertises the airline AirAsia , in which racing team owner Tony Fernandes owns shares. In addition to the engine supplier Renault and tire supplier Pirelli, other sponsors and partners of the team are represented on the vehicle with CNN , Dell , EQ8 , General Electric , HPE, Naza , Pact and Tune Group .
