Chiprana is a Spanish municipality in the province of Saragossa in the autonomous region of Aragon . It belongs to the Comarca Bajo Aragón-Caspe and is about nine kilometers west of Caspe on the Ebro . The place had 523 inhabitants on January 1, 2019.
history
In the district of Dehesa de los Baños , traces of Roman times associated with navigation on the Ebro have been found. The Chiprana mausoleum also dates from Roman times.
Templars and Johanniter resided in Chiprana until the disamortization (1835).
