The Chrysler Series 65 was a car of the middle class , the Chrysler in Detroit produced in model year 1929th It replaced the 62 series and, after the four-cylinder models were discontinued, represented the smallest Chrysler model series.

The car had a side-controlled 6-cylinder in-line engine with 3,205 cm³ displacement, which delivered 65 bhp (48 kW) power. The rear wheels were driven via a single-disc dry clutch and a three-speed gearbox with center shift. All four wheels were hydraulically braked as standard. Six different bodies were offered, which essentially corresponded to those of the previous model. The cooler bezel was kept narrower. For the first time, key starting was also offered (instead of the usual starter switch).
In 1930 the model range was called the Chrysler Series 66 . The bodies had been slightly redesigned. For example, there were bowl-shaped headlights instead of the barrel-shaped and heavier fenders. From the middle of the model year, a larger engine was used, which drew 75 bhp (55 kW) from a displacement of 3,582 cm³. This model series was also built in 1931.
From the Series 65 116 487 units were built, the Series 66 was built only 22,606 times. In the 1931 model year, the revised CM series replaced the 66 series.
