Claudia Schulz

Claudia Schulz (* 1977 in Dessau ) is a German agro-ecologist and politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). From February 2018 to August 2020 she was one of the two chairmen of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania regional association .

Life

Claudia Schulz grew up in Zemitz in Western Pomerania . From 1996 she studied agroecology at the University of Rostock . She completed her studies in 2001 with a degree in agricultural engineering for agroecology. She also studied educational science in 2000/2001 . Internships took her to Canada and New Zealand ; In 2001 she did voluntary service in the environmental sector in Nepal and Ecuador .

From 2005 she was head of Harald Terpe's constituency office .

She works as a freelancer and offers events on the subject of nature and the environment according to the concept of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) .

Claudia Schulz has been a member of the Warnow Water and Wastewater Association (WWAV) for the Green Party in Rostock's citizenship since 2004. Has been a member of the supervisory board of Nordwasser GmbH since 2014 .

Claudia Schulz has been a member of the Greens in the Rostock district association since 2002 and a member of the state board since 2006. Here she was the agricultural, environmental and consumer policy spokesperson.

At the state delegates' conference in Güstrow in February 2018 , she was elected as the new state chairwoman with 53 out of 75 votes (73%). She is the successor to Claudia Müller , who gave up her position as state chairwoman because of her Bundestag mandate. Johann-Georg Jaeger remained its co-chairman .

At the state party conference in Güstrow in October 2018, she was confirmed in office and Ulrike Berger became her co-chair .
