Collecorvino is an Italian commune in the province of Pescara . It has 6061 inhabitants and covers 32 km². The municipality is near Loreto Aprutino and Cappelle sul Tavo .

The neighboring municipalities are: Cappelle sul Tavo , Città Sant'Angelo , Elice , Loreto Aprutino , Moscufo and Picciano .

history

The beginnings of the settlement date back to the 11th century, when Corbino Longobardo settled on a hill east of Loreto Aprutino and fortified the village he called "Corvino". The area developed in the 19th century, almost all houses were completely renovated. The city has largely been able to retain its medieval core. The churches of Sant'Andrea Apostolo and San Rocco date from the 15th and 16th centuries. At the top of the village is the old castle from the fourteenth century, which underwent several transformations up to the eighteenth century, and right next to it there is also an observation tower.
